The Jewish Community of Dnipro expresses its sincere gratitude to the esteemed member of the community, Boruch Zeev (Volodymyr Ilyich) Zalutsky, who on the eve of the Rosh Hashanah holiday donated nearly two tons of apples to the community. Thanks to this generous gift, thousands of community members will be able to celebrate the holiday with one of its main traditional symbols.
The apples received were distributed among various institutions and programs of the Jewish Community of Dnipro. They were received by community members, students of the Jewish Lyceum named after Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, students of the “Beit Tzindlicht” preschool center, students of the “Chaya Mushka” Machon, yeshiva students, residents of the “Beit Baruch” Home for the Elderly, participants in festive meals at the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah,” as well as students of the boys’ and girls’ boarding schools.
What makes this good deed especially valuable is that Boruch Zeev (Volodymyr Ilyich) Zalutsky has been helping the Jewish Community of Dnipro for several years now, donating apples for the Rosh Hashanah holiday. This good tradition has become yet another expression of care for one’s fellow and the fulfillment of the mitzvah of tzedakah. It is from such sincere acts that the atmosphere of mutual support is built—an atmosphere that has always been one of the core values of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.
The Jewish Community of Dnipro sincerely thanks Boruch Zeev (Volodymyr Ilyich) Zalutsky for his many years of care for the congregants and institutions of the community, and wishes him and his family good health, prosperity, joy, success in all their good endeavors, and a special blessing from the Almighty for the year 5787.
