The Jewish Community of Dnipro was visited by a representative delegation of European politicians and public figures who arrived in Dnipro to participate in the international conference “Ukraine Next Dnipro 2026 – Ukraine Reconstruction Conference for Investors, Corporates and Institutions.” The visit gave the guests an opportunity to directly acquaint themselves with the life of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, its numerous institutions, the scale of its activities, and the significant role it plays in the life of the city and of Ukraine.
The delegation included Member of the European Parliament Ondřej Krutílek, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and current Senior Advisor at NC+ Tomáš Petříček, NC+ partner Vojtech Nemec, one of the conference organizers, as well as Rabbi Levi Matusof, Director of European Jewish Public Affairs and a longtime friend of the Jewish Community of Dnipro. All of them took an active part in the conference as organizers, moderators, experts, and participants in discussions.
Throughout the visit, the guests were accompanied by Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki. Together with him, they visited the Central “Golden Rose” Synagogue, learning about its history and contemporary life, as well as about the activities of the Jewish Community of Dnipro.
The delegation members then visited the Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine,” a leading cultural and historical institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, and also visited the JMC clinic. At the medical center, the guests were introduced to its activities and the work of the operating block and surgical department.
An important part of the visit was a stop at the office of Chief Rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminezki. For Vojtech Nemec, the current visit was a continuation of his acquaintance with the Jewish Community of Dnipro – in September 2025, he had already visited the community as part of an official delegation from the Czech Republic.
“Such visits are very important to us, as they enable our friends and partners from European countries to become directly acquainted with the Jewish Community of Dnipro, to see its activities, and to better understand its role in the life of our city and of all Ukraine,” said Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki. “It is especially valuable to us that the participants of such an intensive international conference found the opportunity to visit our community and see with their own eyes the scale, diversity, and significance of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
