Today, the 6th of Tishrei, marks the yahrzeit of the righteous Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson – mother of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson, faithful wife and helpmate of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, Chief Rabbi of Yekaterinoslav-Dnepropetrovsk from 1909 to 1939.
Rebbetzin Chana became a symbol of the loyalty and devotion of a Jewish woman. Together with Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, she passed through years of trial, preserving her faithfulness to Torah and Jewish tradition. Her courage and self-sacrifice continue to inspire Jewish women around the world today.
