An Inspiring Video About the Holiday of Sukkos at the Jewish Community of Dnipro

The Jewish Community of Dnipro invites you to watch a short inspiring video about how the holiday of Sukkos was celebrated this year, and how, thanks to a special festive program, thousands of Jews were able to fulfill the most important mitzvos of Sukkos, feel its special joy, and spend these days together as one great Jewish family.

This large-scale Sukkot celebration was made possible by a special program dedicated to the memory of the distinguished rabbi and community leader, one of the leaders of the Lubavitcher movement, Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Kotlarsky, and organized at the initiative of his son, Rabbi Mendel Kotlarsky, head of “Merkos 302” and the International Conference of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Emissaries, with sponsorship in honor of Ruvin Ben Golda. The Sukkot events in Dnipro were also made possible thanks to the long-standing generous support of the well-known philanthropist and respected member of the Dnipro Jewish community, Reb Natan Zolotarevsky, and his family.

In the video footage, one can see how people of different generations rejoice in the opportunity to be in the festive sukkah, fulfill the mitzvah of the four species of plants – “netilas lulav,” take part in festive meals and refreshments, meet, socialize, study Torah, and join in the numerous educational, family, and community events.

These vivid frames convey the special atmosphere of Sukkos, when the fulfillment of mitzvos combines with the joy of fellowship and a sense of achdus – true Jewish unity – and thousands of Jews become participants in the vibrant festive life of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.
