The event announcement states: “Friends, you asked for more comedies and good films, and we keep our promise! This time we invite you to watch your favorite Ukrainian film classic – the unsurpassed comedy “Chasing Two Hares” (1961), based on the work of Mykhailo Starytsky, which every Ukrainian knows from school.
This film is a real symbol, recognizable from the first frames. Golokhvastov, Pronya Prokopivna, bustling Podil – all these characters have long become part of folk culture, and quotes from the film are firmly rooted in our language.
A special highlight of this screening is the opportunity to hear the film in restored Ukrainian dubbing. For decades, everyone watched this film in Russian dubbing, and only recently was it returned to the original language. Now Golokhvastov will speak again the way Starytsky himself wrote – juicy, colorful and authentic!
Don’t miss the opportunity to laugh together, remember your favorite scenes and feel the real taste of Ukrainian humor.
Let’s listen, speak and laugh together in Ukrainian!
17:30 – 18:00 – Gathering of guests
