At the girls’ boarding school of the Dnipro Jewish Community, “Bayit LeBanot,” which has long been more than just a place of residence, study, and spiritual growth for young Jewish girls—but a true home where every student feels warmth, support, and a connection to tradition—the celebration of Lag BaOmer took the form of an intimate, Lag BaOmer at the “Bayit LeBanot” Boarding School

Ukraine’s popular informal holiday — Vyshyvanka Day — was celebrated in a bright and creative way at the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, the Jewish Lyceum No. 144 named after Levi Yitzchak Schneerson. The celebration at the Lyceum was called “The Vyshyvanka Code” and featured an engaging quest along with a very Vyshyvanka Day at the Jewish Lyceum of Dnipro

The Dnipro Jewish Community’s project “Beit Yoel” (Dnipro’s “Beit Chabad” for Israelis living and studying in the city) celebrated Lag BaOmer on the grounds of the “Toras Emes Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva-Ktana Ukraine.” In addition to students — the regular participants of the program — the guests of the celebration organized by “Beit Yoel” included families Lag BaOmer at “Beit Yoel”

This year, the main Lag BaOmer celebration in Dnipro took place on the grounds of the world’s largest Jewish center, the Menorah. The spacious courtyard of the Menorah became a gathering place for the Jewish community of Dnipro — more then one thousand people in attendance: congregants, members of the broader public, children from various Lag BaOmer 5785 in Dnipro – Parade in Honor of the Holiday

On the official Day of Remembrance for Ukrainians who rescued Jews during World War II — observed annually on May 14 — a special film screening was held at the Menorah Cultural and Business Center in Dnipro. The event was organized in cooperation with the Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine,” Menorah Art Platform, Dnipro Honors Ukrainians Who Rescued Jews During World War II

At the “Beit Baruch” Senior Residence of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, residents and staff joyfully celebrated the annual Vyshyvanka Day — a Ukrainian holiday observed on the third Thursday of May since 2006. On this day, the staff of “Beit Baruch,” led by Director Malvina Ruvinska, arrived dressed in bright and beautiful vyshyvankas (traditional Vyshyvanka Day at “Beit Baruch”

At the “Beit Tsindlicht” Children’s Educational Center, the main preschool institution of the Jewish community of Dnipro, Vyshyvanka Day was celebrated with great joy. Since 2006, this unofficial holiday has been observed in Ukraine, initiated by students of Chernivtsi National University. It has become a recognized symbol of unity among Ukrainian citizens, regardless of ethnicity Vyshyvanka Day at “Beit Tsindlicht”

This past Sunday, the Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) program of the Dnipro Jewish Community gathered all its participants for a vibrant, energetic, and heartwarming celebration of Lag BaOmer. This time, not only the children came — they were joined by their parents, younger siblings, and even toddlers, making the event feel truly like Laser Tag, a Quest, and Porridge by the Fire: JBBBS Has Already Started Celebrating Lag BaOmer

In honor of Lag BaOmer, many Jewish media platforms are publishing archival footage showing how children’s parades were held in different years to mark the occasion. Particular attention, of course, is given to New York – the global center of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. At the latest men’s gathering of the youth project “Menorah Community” of the Dnipro Jewish Community — actively developed by the Zislin family — the main topic was Sefirat HaOmer, the daily spiritual count of the days between Passover and Shavuot, which every Jew is traditionally obligated to observe.
