In the “Beit Sarah” project of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, aimed at elderly women, a special gathering was held ahead of the first Shabbat after the end of Pesach.  Within the “Beit Sarah” project, twenty-eight women of the “golden age” meet twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to study Torah and Jewish traditions, “Shlissel Challahs” for the “Beit Sarah” Project

On the eve of the first Shabbat after the holiday of Pesach, a special event took place at the Weber family’s home — the baking of unique challahs in the shape of a key, known as “Shlissel Challah.” For this warm gathering, activists of Dnipro’s Jewish revival were invited. At the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144, special lessons were held where primary school students learned about the meaning and symbolism of the period between the holidays of Passover and Shavuot, known as “Sefirat HaOmer.” To make the lesson visual and engaging, Jewish traditions teacher Yehudis Futerfas used the school staircase. For the upcoming Shabbat, the first after Passover, it is customary to bake challahs in a special shape — that of a key. At the “Beit LeBanot” boarding school for girls of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, the Passover holidays were filled with meaningful and fun activities, with a rich entertainment program planned for each day. Students of the youth project “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, supported by STL, took an active part in the All-Ukrainian Passover Student Camp held by the “Stars Ukraine” organization in Kyiv.
