She celebrates her birthday on the eighth day of Chanukah!
Bat mitzvah, which translates to “daughter of the commandment,” symbolizes an important moment in a Jewish girl’s life: from this day on, at the age of 12, she becomes an adult according to Jewish tradition and takes on the responsibility of keeping the commandments.
