The Dnipro Jewish Community conducted a major pre-New Year initiative, distributing holiday gift sets from the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine. During this campaign, gifts were received by over two thousand Jewish families in the city.
The holiday sets were distributed, as always, across various locations to ensure maximum convenience for community members. These included Jewish educational structures and other institutions, the “Pcholkin House,” the central “Golden Rose” synagogue, and more. Recipients included large families, displaced families, participants of the Jewish community’s women’s projects and informal education programs, congregants of Dnipro’s synagogues, and individuals requiring special care, attention, and social and spiritual support.
The Dnipro Jewish Community received these gift sets from the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, alongside many other Jewish communities across our country. “The FJCU, together with volunteers, packs and sends these holiday sets to every community in Ukraine,” said Rabbi Meyer Tzvi Stambler, Chairman of the Federation’s Board. “Each set contains a calendar for the year 5786, natural honey, children’s books in Ukrainian about traditions, and many other pleasant surprises, so that every Jewish family feels the care and the strength of our traditions!”
