A great friend and member of the Dnipro Jewish Community, Boris Simanovsky, chose a very unique way to celebrate his birthday. He suggested that all who wished to congratulate him should donate funds, which would be used to purchase charitable aid to be distributed to those in need on his birthday.
In honor of Boris Simanovsky’s 48th birthday, funds gifted by his friends and colleagues were used to purchase food products, which were distributed to hundreds of families from “vulnerable groups”: internally displaced persons, socially vulnerable individuals, and those facing difficult life circumstances.
“The Dnipro Jewish Community is deeply grateful to Boris Simanovsky for this remarkable initiative and wishes to express our most sincere congratulations and warmest wishes from the entire community,” said Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki. “Extending help to others in honor of one’s birthday is a tremendous blessing, as such deeds genuinely make the world a better place.
