Jewish Community of Dnipro Gives Out Purim Gifts from FEHU

The Jewish Community of Dnipro is handing out gift sets for the holiday of Purim, which were provided by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine and which are received by synagogue parishioners, participants in educational and charitable programs, low-income community members and the elderly.

“In total, in Dnipro, the community is giving out over 2,000 sets from FEHU,” said Rada Romantsova, head of the humanitarian department of the Jewish Community, “partly we invite people to the Menorah center, partly people will receive them through Jewish institutions, such as the Jewish Lyceum, Hesed, the Home for the Elderly, etc.”

FEHU reported that this year, 48,000 Jewish families will receive Purim gifts, which are sent to 150 communities. The set includes: a brochure with the text of Suva Esther with Hebrew text, translation into Ukrainian and transliteration in the Ukrainian alphabet, as well as a simple guide to the holiday, greetings from respected rabbis, Mishloach Manot with kosher goodies, shampoo and wet wipes, a construction kit for creating your own clown, and a delicious kosher tincture “Zubrivka” for a festive mood.
