JRNU Supports the Jewish Community of Dnipro with Dairy Products for Shavuot

The charitable organization JRNU (Jewish Relief Network Ukraine) provided essential assistance to the Jewish Community of Dnipro by supplying kosher dairy products ahead of the Shavuot holiday. These products were used both for the celebration at the “Golden Rose” Synagogue — including festive dairy meals following prayers — and as part of food packages distributed to the families of the Rebbe’s Shluchim (emissaries).

Thousands of people — adults and children alike — participated in the Shavuot prayers, with especially large crowds attending the reading of the Ten Commandments. A central tradition of Shavuot is the consumption of dairy foods, and this year, JRNU played a key role in supporting this custom: immediately after the reading of the Commandments, delicious kosher ice cream was handed out in the synagogue, followed by a festive meal featuring a variety of dairy dishes — all made possible thanks to JRNU.

Additionally, in the days leading up to Shavuot, forty-five families of the Rebbe’s Shluchim serving in Dnipro received generous food packages filled with a wide range of kosher dairy items — including yogurt, kefir, milk, cottage cheese, ice cream, and more. These packages were especially helpful in preparing home-based festive meals, particularly for large families and those with small children.

The Jewish Community of Dnipro expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Jewish Relief Network Ukraine for their vital support in preparing and celebrating Shavuot.
