The Dnipro Jewish Community is hosting a large-scale Passover food distribution campaign, provided by the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine. This initiative aims to support those in greatest need, so that every family can adequately prepare for one of the most important Jewish holidays.
The campaign plans to distribute approximately seven hundred food packages. Recipients include families with children, low-income families, the elderly, large families, and other socially vulnerable community members for whom such support is especially important in the lead-up to the holiday.
The packages include essential products needed for Passover preparation and festive meals. These include matzah, juice, vegetable oil, eggs, chicken, as well as vegetables and fruits. This package not only helps ease the burden on the family budget but also allows for the celebration of holiday traditions at home.
Distribution is organized with recipients’ convenience in mind, ensuring that as many people as possible receive assistance in a timely manner. Particular attention is paid to those who find it difficult to pick up their packages in person; in such cases, additional support is provided to ensure the holiday comes to every home.
“Thanks to the support of the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine, hundreds of families were able to prepare for Passover, celebrate the holiday meals, and observe all the necessary traditions,” noted Rabbi Reuven Kaminezky. “This assistance has not only material but also profound spiritual significance, strengthening the sense of community and demonstrating that in our united and close-knit Jewish Community of Dnipro, every person is remembered and cared for. On behalf of all the Jews of the city, the community leadership, and Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezky, we express our sincere gratitude to JRNU for its ongoing support and contribution to the development of Jewish life.”
