A large-scale distribution of food packages, provided by the charitable organization Jewish Relief Network Ukraine, took place in the Dnipro Jewish Community. This initiative provided vital support for families with children and internally displaced persons who are especially in need of assistance under current challenging circumstances.
As part of the campaign, 450 food packages were distributed. Recipients included students of the “Beit Zindlicht” Children’s Educational Center, students of the Jewish Lyceum, religious families, as well as children whose parents are participants in educational and community programs of the Dnipro Jewish Community. Special attention was given to families of internally displaced persons, for whom such support holds particular significance.
Each food package contained a wide assortment of everyday food items. Included were vegetable oil, milk, apple juice, sugar, rice, buckwheat, oatmeal, pasta, condensed milk, tea and coffee, as well as gingerbread cookies, bread rings, and other products. Such a package helps substantially support the family budget and provide families with essentials for an extended period.
The Dnipro Jewish Community expresses its sincere gratitude to the charitable organization JRNU for its constant care for community members and its many years of support for numerous humanitarian and social programs. Thanks to this assistance, hundreds of Jewish families regularly receive necessary support and feel the community’s attention.
“We are sincerely grateful to Jewish Relief Network Ukraine for their unwavering readiness to help Jewish families and support our community,” noted Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki. “It is especially important that this assistance is ongoing and enables us to support families with children, religious families, and internally displaced persons precisely when it is needed most. We are very glad that thanks to our friends and partners, hundreds of families feel genuine care and attention, which are an integral part of the life of our united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
