Major Food Assistance from JRNU and Life Changer for Jewish Families of Dnipro

The Jewish Community of Dnipro held a large-scale distribution of substantial food packages provided by the charitable organization JRNU (Jewish Relief Network Ukraine) and the Life Changer charitable foundation. On the eve of the new Jewish year and the approaching holidays of the month of Tishrei, this assistance became another important expression of the community’s ongoing care for Jewish families and attention to their needs.

As part of the initiative, over 500 large food packages were prepared. They were received by families with children, internally displaced persons, and socially vulnerable members of the community. The distribution took place at various institutions of the Jewish Community of Dnipro – at the “Beit Tzindlicht” children’s educational center, the Jewish Lyceum, and the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah” – so that representatives of various programs and areas of community activity could receive assistance.

Each package contained a wide assortment of essential food items needed for everyday family life. Such substantial packages provided significant support for family budgets, especially important on the eve of the new Jewish year and the series of holidays in the month of Tishrei.

For the children and their parents, receiving the large food packages was a pleasant and joyful event, and the initiative itself was yet another demonstration that supporting families and caring for community members remains one of the most important priorities of the Jewish Community of Dnipro. Thanks to cooperation with charitable organizations, this care finds concrete expression in large-scale social programs that reach hundreds of families.

“We are very grateful to our friends and partners at JRNU and the Life Changer foundation for this substantial and timely assistance, thanks to which over five hundred families received necessary food items right before the new Jewish year,” said Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki. “It is very important to us that every Jewish family feels attention and care, especially on the eve of such meaningful days. Similar projects help us surround hundreds of people with support and, together with them, joyfully and confidently welcome the coming year 5787 in our united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
