A large-scale distribution of holiday packages for Pesach is taking place in the Dnipro Jewish Community, provided by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine. Thanks to this initiative, over 2,000 gift boxes are being received by community members and participants of various educational and social programs.
The distribution is organized to reach all recipients as conveniently as possible. The holiday packages are being distributed through the community’s various structures, including Chesed programs, the Jewish lyceum, the kindergarten, and directly to community members for whom having the ability to conduct a Seder at home in accordance with tradition is especially important.
The packages are intended for conducting a proper Seder and include everything necessary for it: matzah, matzah shmurah, grape juice, a Haggadah, and special cups. This composition allows each family not only to observe all the main elements of the festive meal but also to experience the atmosphere of Pesach, filled with meaning and spiritual depth.
Across Ukraine, the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine is implementing a large-scale initiative aimed at supporting Jewish families and communities, ensuring that the holiday of Pesach can come to every home, regardless of circumstances.
“We work with great love to ensure that the holiday packages reach every family, every community, and all those for whom preserving tradition is important. We pack, check, and send them with the thought that at the right moment, matzah will be on the table, the Seder will take place, and the proper words will be recited,” noted Rabbi Mayer Tzvi Stambler, Chairman of the Council of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine. “Thousands of packages are heading to various corners of Ukraine so that Pesach can come to every home – with light, meaning, and a sense of unity, despite any circumstances. For Pesach is about memory, about the strength of spirit, and about the feeling of home, wherever a person may be.”
The Dnipro Jewish Community expresses sincere gratitude to the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine and its leader, Rabbi Mayer Tzvi Stambler, for their constant care for Jewish families, their support of community life, and their contribution to preserving traditions. Thanks to this work, thousands of people have the opportunity to greet Pesach with dignity and feel their connection to the Jewish people and its heritage.
