Special Sukkot Gifts from Moshe Elixson and JBC – HOME “Jewish House of Trade and Business in Ukraine”

A gift distribution event for the Sukkot holiday took place in the sukkah of the central “Golden Rose” Synagogue in Dnipro. The event was organized by the well-known businessman and philanthropist, a long-time and sincere friend of the Dnipro Jewish Community, Moshe Elixson, and the project he founded, JBC – HOME “Jewish House of Trade and Business in Ukraine.”

Beautiful Sukkot gift sets were distributed to community congregants, as well as to those particularly in need of support – internally displaced persons, low-income families, and families with children who especially need attention and help, especially during the days of the Sukkot holiday, a time of unity and solidarity for the Jewish people.

The families receiving the gifts from Mr. Elixson in the large sukkah of the central synagogue asked to convey to him the traditional Jewish wish “A gutn kvitel,” which means a good inscription, luck, and well-being for him personally and for his socially significant project, which, despite difficult circumstances, continues to be implemented in Ukraine and benefits many people.

“My family is sincerely grateful to Reb Moshe Elixson for this wonderful and much-needed gift,” noted Rivka Lazareva. “We have heard a lot about the ‘Bait Yehudi’ project, about how it does an extraordinary amount to develop contacts between Ukraine and Israel, how it constantly supports Ukrainian Jews, and therefore we received this Sukkot gift with great joy. May the Almighty bless Moshe Elixson with a good inscription and send him success in all his good deeds, so that he may continue to do so much that is useful and important for the community and for Jewish life in Ukraine.”
