“DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” Launches New “Rosh Chodesh Club” Program

A new women’s program, initiated within the framework of the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, implemented with the support of STL, has been named the “Rosh Chodesh Club.” Its leader is the young and talented emissary of the Rebbe, Mrs. Chaya Nachshon.

The first session, dedicated to the beginning of the month of Cheshvan, focused on the theme of why the holiday-filled month of Tishrei is followed by a month with no communal holidays, what conclusions we can draw from this for our daily lives, and what actions we can take to bring closer the Geulah.

One of the key insights was the importance for each individual, after a period of holidays when the Almighty dictates what and how to do, to now make their own decisions and determine what needs to be done to draw closer to Torah and Yiddishkeit. For this purpose, a special activity was introduced: each girl selected capsules containing notes with good resolutions, giving them the opportunity to implement these specifically during the month of Cheshvan. In this way, each participant could choose up to ten good resolutions to strive to implement throughout the month.

“The girls really enjoyed this session, which was wonderfully led by Chaya Nachshon,” said Chaya Maltseva, head of the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” project. “We are very happy that Chaya has joined our team and, together with her husband, will be conducting such inspiring and motivational programs. I am confident that the ‘Rosh Chodesh Club’ will become one of the gems of our programs for female students, and we wholeheartedly thank our united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki, for the opportunity to implement new forms of work.”
