Farbrengen for Pesach Sheni at “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro”

The youth project of the Jewish Community of Dnipro, “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro”, supported by STL, celebrated Pesach Sheni — the Second Passover, marked exactly one month after the main Pesach holiday.

The event was organized by the project leaders, Eliyahu Ivakhnenko and Leah Lazareva, who held a lesson dedicated not only to Pesach Sheni but also to the upcoming major Jewish holiday, Lag BaOmer. However, the highlight of the farbrengen was a lively game of “True or False.” The hosts presented various facts about Pesach Sheni, and participants had to decide whether they believed the statements were true or false — moving to one corner of the room if they thought it was true, or the opposite corner if they believed it was false.

“I am so proud and inspired to see our students independently creating and organizing such engaging events and lessons,” said Chaya Maltseva, director of the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” project. “Outstanding leaders like Eliyahu Ivakhnenko and Leah Lazareva write the programs themselves, run them, and share updates and photos about our community life on social media. I’m truly proud of them and deeply impressed by the farbrengen they prepared for Pesach Sheni.”
