A men’s farbrengen took place in the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, implemented with the support of STL. The gathering was dedicated to the month of Cheshvan, its significance and characteristics, as well as memorable events associated with this month.
This format was introduced alongside the women’s monthly “Rosh Chodesh Club” meetings, and the initiative came from one of the most beloved teachers of the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” projects – the young and talented emissary of the Rebbe in Dnipro, Yosef Nachshon, who prepared and led the farbrengen.
“This year, many young men who are just getting acquainted with Jewish tradition, who are only beginning their journey of drawing closer to Yiddishkeit, have joined our program,” said Chaya Maltseva, head of the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” project. “Therefore, it was very important to create an event that would unite more experienced students and newcomers, be interesting for everyone, and Yosef Nachshon managed to create an exceptionally meaningful overview meeting that revealed the unique aspects of the month of Cheshvan for each participant.”
