‘Kids’ – gifts for the Rebbe and preparations for Passover.

Jewish children participating in the ‘DJCY – STL kids – JFuture’ program, implemented by the Jewish community of Dnipro with the support of STL and JFuture (a project of the ‘JRNU’ foundation), attended a session dedicated to the birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and preparations for Passover.

During the first part of the meeting, the children prepared ‘gifts for the Rebbe’ by completing tasks related to the birthday theme – they read Tehillim, gave tzedakah, etc. For each completed task, they received specific ingredients to later make their personal cake for the birthday of our Rebbe, – says program leader Adina Seldina, – the second part of the meeting, in a ‘madrih-time’ format, and the lesson was dedicated to Passover. We once again discussed, taking into account the children’s age, the laws of Passover and conducting the Seder, played a fun game ‘Hurry in 18 Minutes,’ and the teacher awarded those who were the most diligent with sets for handcrafts on the topic of Passover, which they could make during the Passover break.

The meeting took place in the space of informal education on the 8th floor of the ‘Menora’ center and brought a lot of joy to the children, especially they enjoyed making and decorating cakes to celebrate the birthday of the Leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
