Students of the youth project of the Jewish community of Dnipro “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro”, implemented with the support of STL, gathered on the first day of Hola HaMoed for an interesting meeting in the format of a “picnic in the city”.
The meeting was held in the open air at the Beit Hana International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute and was initiated by Nathan and Leah Lazarev, who offered a great format that harmoniously combined educational and entertainment components with relaxed and informal communication.
The students enjoyed a kosher meal and listened to a very informative and interesting class taught by Yoseph Nachshon, a teacher and mashpiah of DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro.
“Our project is not only about education and knowledge, but above all about unity, friendship, and communication based on Jewish values and traditions,” says Khaya Maltseva, head of DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro, “the boys and girls really like it and feel part of a large and friendly family, which is the Jewish community of Dnipro.”
