A men’s gathering in the format of a farbrengen took place within the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, implemented with the support of STL. This event was similar to the “Rosh Chodesh Club” program for girls.
The facilitator of the farbrengen, Yosef Nachshon, an instructor of the “DJCY-STL-STARS Dnipro” project, chose a theme for this meeting related to setbacks and failures, as it resonates most with the essence of the month of Kislev. The aim was to demonstrate what our apparent failures can teach us and how we can draw strength from them to spread spiritual light even more widely.
“The month of Kislev clearly shows us how, even when we are in a weak position and may feel defeated, we still have the ability to fulfill the mission entrusted to us by the Almighty,” explained Yosef Nachshon, a young emissary of the Rebbe in Dnipro. “We must realize that the Creator has a plan for each of us, and what happens to us provides us with the strength and opportunities to accomplish what G-d wants from us. We only need to understand this by relying on the Torah, mitzvot, and the teachings of Chassidut. This was the main theme of our gathering, which was held with great spiritual elevation thanks to the care and support of the Dnipro Jewish Community and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki.”
