The main celebration of Purim 5785 in Dnipro took place in the main hall of celebrations “Menorah Grand Hall” with a large concert program and a festive banquet.
We have already told about the beginning – the simultaneous reading of the five Scrolls of Megilat Esther here and after that a big program began, hosted by the popular entertainer Vitaly Azarov, who congratulated Dnipro on this great holiday and wished that his joy and sincerity would change the world for the better.
Greetings to the attendees and the entire Jewish community of Dnipro were addressed by: Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region Shmuel Kaminetsky and members of the community’s Board of Trustees Natan Zolotarevsky, Yitzhak Fridman, Chaim Seidner and Leib Livshits.
The festive atmosphere throughout the evening was created by a group that has the appropriate name – “Good Mood” and which is very popular at celebrations in the Jewish community of Dnipro. In addition, there were many performances in various genres – a duet of saxophonists, an acrobatic etude, a neon show, etc. The host offered several fun contests, but the main contest was the carnival costume contest, which was traditionally held by Fedor Hryshchev and each child who took part in it received a soft toy, and adults – books. By the way, a large children’s program was organized for the children, which took place throughout the evening in the Menorah Ballroom.
The superstars and headliners of this holiday were the very famous and popular group “Tik” (“Sobriety and Culture”), which, as is known, performs ironic and cheerful songs in the styles of pop-rock, ska-punk, folk-rock, and many of their songs received the status of “hits”. Those present danced and sang along with these famous and beloved performers with great pleasure.
The wonderful holiday lasted for many hours and left no one indifferent, because everyone had the opportunity to fully fulfill the traditions of “Mishte ve Simcha”, which is part of the Purim celebration!
