At Machon “Chaya-Mushka,” the leading educational institution for girls of the Dnipro Jewish Community, a special program was held in honor of 11 Nissan – the birthday of the Leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson. The event brought together students of different ages in an atmosphere of Chassidic joy, filled with inspiration and positive energy.
For the younger students, an engaging interactive program was prepared in a farbrengen format, during which the girls became acquainted with the Rebbe’s biography, the scope of his work, and the famous Ten Mivtzoim. The gathering began with a “tasty meal,” after which the participants took part in themed games designed to deepen their understanding of the Rebbe’s personality and his impact. The girls identified which facts about the Rebbe were true and which were false, and they also solved clues about the mivtzoim through riddles and video materials, matching them with items prepared on the tables. Each task was accompanied by an explanation of when a particular mivtza was launched and what its essence is. The program was accompanied by the singing of the Rebbe’s niggunim and concluded with the distribution of gifts – notebooks with pens for writing letters to the Rebbe, including explanations on the proper format of addressing him, as well as special boards for counting Sefiras HaOmer and additional study materials for the Rebbe’s birthday.
The older students also participated in a farbrengen, which took place in the form of deep and meaningful discussion dedicated to reflecting on the work of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and his Ten Mivtzoim. The gathering was organized by Moros Miriam Tereshkevich, Adel Shikula, and Sheina Leah Smilyanska, who succeeded in creating an atmosphere filled with Ahavas Yisrael, sincerity, and joy. During the program, the participants sang the Rebbe’s niggunim, discussed ideas related to the approaching holiday of Pesach, and took part in interactive formats that allowed them not only to learn but also to feel the meaning of the mivtzoim and their relevance in contemporary life.
“It was important for us not merely to tell about the Rebbe, but to give the girls the opportunity to feel a connection to him through participation, reflection, and personal involvement,” said Machon director Raizel Milman. “Such programs help not only to deepen knowledge but also to form an inner connection with the values of Torah and Chassidus. We are sincerely grateful for the constant support and attention to the education of the younger generation from the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki and our dear Rebbetzin Chana Kaminezki.”
