A Celebration Dedicated to the Book of “Bereishit” at the Yeshiva-Ketana

A joyous and meaningful celebration for the third-grade students took place at the Dnipro Yeshiva-Ketana named after Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community for boys. The event was dedicated to completing the study of the first book of the Torah – the Book of “Bereishit”. The children are now beginning a new stage of their learning, transitioning to the second book of the Torah – the Book of “Shemot”.

The celebration was held together with their teacher, Rabbi Yosef Nachshon, and was structured as a lively and engaging educational game. During the game, the boys recalled key elements of the Book of Bereishit – numbers, characters, people, places, and objects mentioned in the text. This format not only allowed them to review the material covered but also transformed the learning process into a true festival of knowledge, filled with joy, laughter, and genuine interest. This made the completion of this important stage of learning a truly memorable event for the children.

“This was a very warm and joyful celebration during which the children showed how much they already know and how sincerely they approach Torah study,” said the Director of the Yeshiva-Ketana, Rabbanit Chana Segal. “Such moments give students confidence, inspiration, and the desire to move forward. I sincerely thank the Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki for the constant support of our educational initiatives, for their care and attention.”
