A New Season of “Tzivos Hashem” Has Opened at Machon Chaya Mushka

At Machon Chaya Mushka, a leading educational institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro for girls, the grand opening of the new season of the children’s organization “Tzivos Hashem” for students in grades 1–4 took place. In 5787, the main theme of the program will be “Ahavas Yisrael” – love for one’s fellow, one of the most important mitzvos of the Torah, which the girls will study through the teachings of our Rebbeim and learn to apply in everyday life.

The opening of the new season began with the presentation to the participants of personal badges bearing their ranks in “Tzivos Hashem” and the number of points earned. Special attention was given to the first-grade students, for whom this day became a true initiation into the ranks of this esteemed international children’s organization. Each first-grader received a commemorative pin and a beret, and all those present solemnly congratulated the new participants of “Tzivos Hashem.”

An important part of the program was the viewing of a video of the leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson. The girls together recited the 12 Pesukim – twelve passages from the Torah and sayings of our Sages that hold a special place in the educational program of “Tzivos Hashem” – and then took part in a “Bingo” game dedicated to our Rebbeim.

The central idea of the new season was the mitzvah of “Ahavas Yisrael” – “Love your fellow as yourself.” Throughout the year, the students will become acquainted with how our Rebbeim revealed the depth of this mitzvah, explained its significance, and taught how to fulfill it properly – not only in words but also in concrete deeds, in one’s attitude toward other people, and in care and help for those around them.

At the conclusion of the event, the girls learned about the task through which they will be able to earn points throughout the entire school year. Thus, participation in “Tzivos Hashem” will combine the study of Jewish values with the practical fulfillment of mitzvos, and the system of ranks and incentives will help the students see their own achievements and strive for new ones.

“It is very important to us that the girls not merely know about the mitzvah of Ahavas Yisrael but also understand how to fulfill it every day, for it is precisely from such deeds that the true unity of the Jewish people is built,” noted Morah Edna Yudovich. “And we are grateful to the community for the opportunity to raise our girls in the spirit of the Rebbe’s teachings, helping them grow into true Jewish girls who, through their good deeds and love for their fellow, strengthen the unity of our great family – the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
