At “Bnot Melech”, the Girls Studied the Meaning of “Bitachon baHashem”

At a recent session of the “Bnot Melech” club for middle-school girls studying at “Chaya Mushka”, the leading educational institution of the Dnipro Jewish Community, the discussion focused on the month of Iyar, the principle of Bitachon baHashem, and the concept of Yagati u-Matzati.

During the meeting, educator Daniela Listengurt spoke about the sources that teach us that if one truly follows the principle of complete and sincere trust in G-d — the genuine Bitachon baHashem — then the Jewish people as a whole will be spared from danger and suffering. At the same time, she explained why this principle in no way implies passivity or refraining from personal effort and hard work. Bitachon baHashem is inextricably linked to the concept of Yagati u-Matzati, and only when they go hand in hand can this value be properly understood and applied in daily life, emphasized Daniela Listengurt.

In addition to discussing such profound ideas, the club meeting also featured games, competitions, and cheerful social time. Four of the most active participants received wonderful prizes — gift certificates to “Kosher de Luxe”, where they can treat themselves to sweets and other favorite delicacies popular among Jewish teens in the Dnipro region.
