End-of-Year Ceremony and Conclusion of the “Builders of the Temple” Campaign

A major celebratory event took place in the “Sinai” Hall of the world’s largest Jewish center, “Menorah,” honoring the students of the Dnipro Yeshiva named after Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson — the leading boys’ school of the Jewish Community of Dnipro — marking the end of the school year and the conclusion of the special campaign “Builders of the Temple.”

From the very beginning, the evening emphasized the greatness and irreplaceable value of Jewish education — a principle continuously highlighted by the Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson. The event began with a video of the Rebbe’s words. The central theme was the Beit HaMikdash — the Holy Temple. The students’ Torah study was symbolically likened to Temple service, with the students representing Kohanim, as the Jewish people are called a “Kingdom of Priests.” Each class symbolized a part of the Temple, and the learning represented a particular form of sacred service.

Every student was honored with a well-earned prize for his diligence and academic achievements, along with a new rank in the Tzivos Hashem program — the international Jewish youth movement founded by the Rebbe in 1980 to raise a generation of children devoted to G-d, Torah, and the mission of the Jewish people.

During the same event, the impressive and successful campaign “Builders of the Temple” was concluded — a campaign previously covered in detail by our site: link.

In her moving address, the Yeshiva director, Rebbetzin Chana Segal, noted: “This initiative became a milestone — not only for the boys, but for our entire educational team and the whole Dnipro Jewish community. In recent months, our students were true builders of the Temple. It wasn’t just a task — it was a mission, a shlichut. Every teacher acted like a stonemason, shaping each child’s soul and Jewish identity stone by stone, day by day, instilling faith and hope in the future. Thank you for your loyalty, care, and open hearts. Dear parents, thank you for trusting us with your children’s development. And special thanks to Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky and Principal Elena Krasnova of Lyceum No. 144 for their constant support and collaboration.”

All classes successfully completed their missions, collected the necessary materials, and built their Temple models. During the celebration, the top students who memorized the most lines and earned the highest number of “bricks” for their dedication were recognized:

  1. Yosef Stambler (Grade 3) – 639 bricks
  2. Schneur Zalman Segal (Grade 1) – 444

  3. Chaim Maryanovsky (Grade 5) – 443
  4. Binyamin Smilyansky (Grade 4) – 347
