On the 15th of Elul, 5785, the first meeting of the new educational season for participants of the “Avot uBanim” (Fathers and Sons) program took place. We have repeatedly informed our readers about the goals and objectives of this program.
The meeting was held in the main prayer hall of the central synagogue “Golden Rose” and was attended by the families of the emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe who work in our city. The head of the “Avot uBanim” project, Rabbi David Vaskovsky, warmly welcomed each family and spoke about the specifics of the project’s implementation in this educational season.
“We invite all responsible parents to join us, because studying sacred Jewish texts together with their children during specially allocated time, regularly and not sporadically, is an important part of traditional Jewish upbringing,” said Rabbi David Vaskovsky. “The classes are held every Monday between the Mincha and Maariv prayers in our central synagogue.”
