New Season of “Shura Rishona”: Website, Monthly Magazine, and Mentorship Program

At Machon Chaya Mushka, a leading educational institution of the Jewish Community of Dnipro for girls, the new season of the “Shura Rishona” program for students in grades 7–11 was solemnly opened. This is a special program of informal education that helps the Machon students prepare for the mission of being emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and become aware of the importance of their shlichus.

The opening began with an exciting quest: each class traveled through the Machon, solved riddles, and gradually assembled a secret code in order to gain entry to the main event of the program. This format immediately helped the girls feel themselves not merely spectators but active participants in a shared endeavor.

Then all the students gathered in the gymnasium and learned how the program would help them strengthen their spiritual connection with the Rebbe, receive inspiration, develop motivation, and become aware of their personal responsibility in Chassidic life. During the gathering, the new website of the project was presented, on which monthly reports, lessons, and an online prize shop will be posted, and the main prize will be a ticket to the Rebbe. The girls were also told about the monthly magazine that they will prepare themselves, and about the new mentorship project.

This mentorship program will become an important part of “Shura Rishona”: older students will, once a week in a one-on-one format, support the younger ones, help them in their studies, Chassidic growth, daily life at the Machon, and the feeling of a personal connection with the Rebbe. This format makes the older girls not merely participants in the program but responsible mentors for the younger ones.

The opening turned out truly festive, touching, and joyful, and its special conclusion was the stylish hoodies with the “Shura Rishona” logo that each participant received. This gift became not merely a pleasant token of attention but also a symbol of belonging to a shared program that unites the girls around Chassidic values, responsibility, and connection with the Rebbe.

“The new season of ‘Shura Rishona’ began very festively, touchingly, and joyfully, and we believe that this year the program will become even more significant and filled with events for the girls,” noted Morah Edna Yudovich. “Of course, this program and its projects – the new website, the magazine, the mentorship, and the entire system of inspiring the students – like all the work of our Machon, can be realized only thanks to the constant support and attention of our united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
