Pre-Purim “Talent Show” at Machon Chaya-Mushka

A vibrant and inspiring “Talent Show” competition took place at Machon “Chaya-Mushka,” the leading educational institution for girls of the Dnipro Jewish Community. The event was organized by eighth-grade students on the eve of the Purim holiday, during the days when the month of Adar fills hearts with special joy and a sense of inner light.

The initiative of the eighth graders united the entire Machon, transforming an ordinary Friday into a true celebration of creativity, support, and the discovery of abilities. All students from first through eleventh grade were invited to participate, and every girl had the opportunity to take the stage and showcase her talent. Moreover, the teachers were also invited to participate and share their abilities with the students, which was met with great enthusiasm and warmth. This union of students and educators created a special atmosphere of trust and unity.

Throughout the program, the girls performed in various genres: singing, presenting creative acts, and revealing their unique talents. The main thing noted by the participants was not just the opportunity to express themselves, but the joy they were able to give to those around them, as well as the support and recognition they received in return. The competition was very friendly, fun, and interesting, leaving everyone with the feeling of a true celebration.

“We saw how important it is to give girls the space to reveal their abilities and inner light,” said Machon director Raizel Milman. “Following the event, a decision was made at the Machon to make the ‘Talent Show’ competition a good tradition and repeat it next year. Such initiatives build confidence, foster an atmosphere of mutual respect, and increase joy, especially in the days leading up to Purim. We are sincerely grateful to the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki and our dear Rebbetzin Chana Kaminezki for their constant support and attention to the life of our Machon.”
