On the eve of Purim, at the Children’s Educational Center “Beit Zindlicht”, children studied and created the most delicious and beloved treats – Ozney Aman, which are a traditional symbol of the most joyful holiday of Purim, dedicated to the salvation of the Jewish people from the insidious thief Haman.
“For a whole week on the eve of Purim, the pupils of each group of our kindergarten kneaded the dough, rolled it out, added the filling and formed traditional triangles that resemble the ears of the thief Haman,” says the director of “Beit Zindlicht” Rebenz Risha Gurevich, “for the upbringing of children it is very important that they not only listen to stories from adults or watch pictures or cartoons, but that they actively do something themselves, that they take an active part in preparing for the holiday, of course at a level that corresponds to their age.”
But besides the educational aspect, this action, based on the production of Ozney Aman, also had a family aspect, as each child took home a package with their own handmade treats. This added new colors to the family celebration and became a great opportunity for parents and relatives to be proud of their child and admire their skill.
