A “Menorah Community” Session on the Weekly Portion of “Noach”

A special men’s class was held in the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing thanks to the efforts of the Zislin family. The session was dedicated to the weekly Torah portion “Noach” and the beginning of the new month of Cheshvan.

A distinctive feature of this meeting was the participation of the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminezki, and Rabbi Meni Stambler. Together with the “Menorah Community” project’s rabbi, Reuven Kaminezki, they conducted a lesson on the themes of the weekly Torah portion: the Great Flood, its causes and consequences, and the lessons that remain relevant today.

“They shared their insights on the weekly portion ‘Noach,'” noted Levi Zislin, head of the “Menorah Community” project. “The Flood was not only a punishment but, first and foremost, a lesson about the importance of care and unity—because when people cease to see the good in one another, the world collapses. As a result of our active discussion on this topic, we concluded: let each of us become someone who builds their own ‘ark’—a home of kindness and light. This will unite all of us, just as it happens in the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
