This men’s lesson in the youth project Menorah Community of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing thanks to the efforts of the Zislin family, was truly unique. It took place under the open sky — on the rooftop of the world’s largest Jewish center, Menorah — and was dedicated to the vital topic of building a strong Jewish family on the solid foundation of Torah and mitzvot.
At the beginning, Menorah Community teacher and secretary of the Dnipro Rabbinical Court, Rabbi Avraham Yosef Itzchak Karshenbaum, helped participants fulfill the mitzvah of tefillin and recite the appropriate prayers. He then led a lesson focused on Jewish marriage — its depth, meaning, and the traditions that give this union its special significance.
“The atmosphere was incredible: under the open sky, a warm evening, laughter, and new discoveries,” said project leader Levi Zislin. “We thank Reb Itzchak for his wisdom and inspiration!”
