External and Internal Tzniut as the Topic of a Women’s Class in “Menorah Community”

The latest women’s class in the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing thanks to the efforts of the Zislin family, was dedicated to the topic of tzniut (modesty). The discussion encompassed not only external, material aspects but also internal, spiritual dimensions.

The class on tzniut was led by Aliza Rabinovych, Deputy Director of the Levi Yitzchak Schneerson Jewish Lyceum No. 144 and Head of the Judaic Studies Department. She noted that while the concept of tzniut is most often associated with clothing and external manifestations, its foundations are the internal qualities inherent in every person by the Creator Himself, and the external is merely a reflection of the internal.

“Using the examples of the great prophet Moses and the matriarchs Sarah and Rivkah, we discussed how true beauty begins within,” shared Esti Zislin, co-director of the project. “We are very grateful to Aliza Rabinovych for the profound and inspiring lesson, which revealed to us that modesty is an expression of dignity, self-respect, and the true beauty of the soul. Such important meetings, which provide answers to the most crucial questions that concern every woman, are only possible thanks to the unwavering support of the Dnipro Jewish Community and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki.”
