In the Menorah Community youth project of the Jewish community of Dnipro, led by the Zislin family, another meaningful men’s Torah class recently took place. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, participants gathered once again with their beloved teacher — Rabbi Zalman Rabinovich.
The topic of the class — “Tzedakah and Maaser: What’s the Difference?” — proved not only relevant, but deeply enriching. Together with Rabbi Zalman, participants explored how these two concepts — charity and tithing — are woven into the Jewish worldview. What is their fundamental difference? How are they properly fulfilled? And why are these mitzvot an essential part of every Jew’s life?
Rabbi Zalman shared sources from the Torah and sayings of the sages, along with vivid real-life examples that made the class engaging, accessible, and inspiring. Each story wasn’t just an illustration — it was a powerful spiritual message, encouraging personal growth and action.
Menorah Community continues to be more than just an educational platform — it is a true community where young people grow spiritually, learn to think through a Jewish lens, and build lasting friendships rooted in Torah and mitzvot.
