The Museum “Jewish Memory and the Holocaust in Ukraine” reveals key phenomena and events in the history of the Jews of Ukraine in the context of world history, the tragic culmination of which was the Holocaust. The museum is designed to reflect the depth of the tragedy of the Holocaust and, at the same time, the amazing and rich Jewish civilization that was almost completely destroyed during World War II.
The museum reveals the main trends and phenomena of Jewish culture development on the territory of Ukraine. The expositions pay much attention to the history of the Jewish community of Yekaterinoslav-Dnipropetrovsk-Dnipro and its revival in our days.
Special attention is paid to Ukrainian-Jewish relations, destruction of negative stereotypes of anti-Semitism and Ukrainophobia, formation of mutual respect of Ukrainians and Jews on the basis of objective analysis of history lessons, education of youth on positive examples of interethnic mutual assistance and cooperation.
The achievements and experience of the world’s leading museums, original methods and design, as well as the latest information, audiovisual and multimedia technologies were used to create the expositions.
