A large charity event to help families with small children was held in Dnepr, which was organized by Nina Yuryevna Raberova to the credit and to lift the soul of the blessed memory of Igor Zinovievich Raberov, who was a member of the Board of Trustees of the community for many years, the initiator of many charity projects.
During this event, a large number of premium furniture items necessary for families with small children were transferred to the Jewish Community of Dnepr – chests of drawers, cribs, mattresses, changing tables, “kangaroos”, “baby monitors”, high chairs, potties, swings, car seats, strollers, walkers, playpens and bathtubs. These things turned out to be in great demand and there are many sincere thanks to the Raberov family from Jewish families who have a child or are expecting an addition to the family.
Here we would like to present only fragments of some of them. The Segal family writes: “We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the generous gift: baby clothes, a crib, a stroller and other useful accessories. Our baby was born a month ago, and all this came just in time, at the most opportune moment, when we especially needed help. May the Almighty bless you with abundance, joy, good health, prosperity, peace, tranquility and safety, at home and outside it, as well as spiritual satisfaction and joy from your entire family.” The Rabinovich family notes: “Your gifts are not just baby things. They are care, attention and participation that are felt by the heart. For many families, your help becomes a real blessing – after all, each item received is important, needed and very valuable. May the good that you give return to you many times over.” The Baranenko family expresses their emotions this way: “Great gratitude for such an opportunity to choose from a huge selection of high-quality furniture and other accessories! The eldest daughter uses the cabinet and is delighted, and her favorite color is pink. The youngest one enjoys playing with a toy of excellent quality. Thank you very much for continuing to think about others in such a difficult time! ” We could cite many more quotes from many Jewish families in Dnepr.
The Raberov family has supported the Jewish revival in Dnepr for many years, but little is known about most of their good deeds, since Igor Zinovievich and Nina Yuryevna most often did not advertise them, but some are still known. The Chief Rabbi of Dnepr Shmuel Kaminetsky has repeatedly emphasized that the special atmosphere in the Grand Hall and Ballroom is created by the light pouring from the unique chandeliers, for which the community thanks Igor Raberov, and his wife for many years as a volunteer headed the committee for microcrediting women’s businesses, a special program of the Jewish community of Dnepr, created within the framework of the “Kegila Project”, together with the Jewish community of Greater Boston.
“Igor Zinovievich always participated in the life of the community, he prayed, put on tefillin, even when he felt very bad in his last days,” says Nina Yuryevna Raberova, “he always believed in the future and I wanted to do something in his memory, to lift his soul, that would be important specifically for the future – for our children, so that families who raise children would have at least a little easier, brighter, more joyful life.”
