A class on the book of Tanya was held in the Dnipro Jewish Community’s project “Beit Yoeil,” the Dnipro Beit Chabad for Israelis living and studying in the city. The class was led by a young shliach of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Yosef Nachshon. The session was attended by men who frequent this important community project, which operates under the leadership of Rabbi Yaakov Dorfman.
The book of Tanya, the foundational work of Chabad Chassidus written by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the First Lubavitcher Rebbe, reveals the profound foundations of the Jewish worldview, a person’s relationship with the Almighty, the nature of the G-dly soul, and the purpose of spiritual self-refinement. The study of Tanya holds a special place in Chabad tradition, helping to connect Torah knowledge with everyday life and the practical fulfillment of mitzvos.
“It is very important to us that Israelis in Dnipro have the opportunity not only to participate in Jewish community life, but also to deepen their knowledge of Torah and Chassidus,” noted the head of the “Beit Yoeil” project, Rabbi Yaakov Dorfman. “Such classes help a person better understand themselves, their purpose, and their connection with the Almighty. We are grateful for the opportunity to hold them as part of the activities of the unified and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community under the leadership of the Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
