A women’s Tea Farbrengen was held in honor of the 22nd of Shvat

In the Jewish Community of Dnipro in honor of 22 Shvat – the day of yortzeit of the righteous Rebbe Hai-Mushka Schneerson, wife of the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem-Mendel Schneerson and daughter of the Sixth Rebbe HaBaDa Yosef-Yitzhak Schneerson – a women’s event called “Tea Farbrengen” was held.

We called our meeting “Tea Farbrengen” because it is known that every day the Rebbe and the Rebetzin, no matter how busy they were, set aside twenty minutes for the two of them to sit over tea, to take time for each other and to focus fully on caring for each other,” Rebetzin Shoshanna Weber, the organizer of the Farbrengen, told our website, “tea symbolizes warmth, comfort and the consistency that is so important to achieve in every woman’s life, despite all the difficulties and worries that surround us, it is very important to learn to focus on the right things, on the good things that we have, and then worries and troubles will not be in the focus of our attention and will not be able to have a negative impact on us, as the participants of the farbrengen were convinced by watching the video, where the psychological focus was such that the viewer does not even notice the gorilla that passed in the frame”.

The event began with watching a series of video memoirs about the righteous Rebbe Haya-Mushka, the advice she gave to those who turned to her, how she helped people find a way out of difficult circumstances, how she taught even little girls the joy of life and a positive attitude to reality.

The farbrengen participants were given cards with wise sayings, and each could offer her conclusion, and everyone could evaluate it. Keren Morozova collected the most votes and became the winner of this contest.

A memorial candle in honor of the yortzeit day of the righteous Rebbe Haya-Mushka Schneerson was lit by Haya-Mushka Maltseva, the head of the Stars Dnepr program, and all the participants of the Tea Farbrengen were presented with cookies in the form of tea bags, which were baked by Stars Dnepr students in a class with Shoshanna Weber.

All present then recited the Mishnayot by spelling the name of the Rebetzn Hai Mushka, and Daniela Listengurt told an inspiring story about how harmonious the Rebbe and Rebetzn’s relationship was and how the Rebbe characterized it by speaking to a lawyer about the Cohen-Gadol’s marital status while serving at the Temple on Yom Kippur.

“Our farbrengen turned out to be very heartfelt and warm, and it was held in a special atmosphere,” noted Shoshanna Weber, “each participant received a charge of positive energy, which we secured with a special gift – a prayer to be read after lighting the candles in order that the harmony of warmth and constancy that the Rebbe and the Rebbes had, would come to every Jewish home.
