A men’s session dedicated to the weekly Torah portion “Lech Lecha” and the significance of the concept of “hospitality” in Judaism, along with its various aspects, was held in the “Menorah Community” youth project of the Dnipro Jewish Community, which is actively developing thanks to the efforts of the Zislin family.
The session was led by Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki of “Menorah Community,” who revealed the special importance of hospitality in Judaism and its reflection in the weekly portion “Lech Lecha.” Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki particularly emphasized the importance of the custom of escorting guests to the exit of the home or apartment, which underscores the host’s respect both for the guests themselves and for the Jewish traditions associated with hosting.
Also present at this session was the President of “Menorah Community,” the respected member of the Dnipro Jewish Community, Reb Natan Zolotarevsky, who spoke about the importance of regularly studying Torah and Jewish traditions, as well as the community’s mission within the united and cohesive Dnipro Jewish Community.
“Every lesson by Reb Reuven carries a special atmosphere of warmth, wisdom, and lively dialogue, where even familiar texts are revealed in a new light,” noted Levi Zislin, head of the “Menorah Community” project. “Every meeting in the project feels like a celebration, and we feel ourselves part of the large Jewish family that our community is under the leadership of its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki.”
