In Dnipro, more and more Jewish homes and apartments have mezuzas affixed to their doors in full accordance with Jewish tradition. The Jewish community of Dnipro actively promotes the observance of this crucial commandment, assisting those in need of mezuzas and providing qualified assistance in their proper installation.
Recently, two mezuzas were installed in another Jewish household in Dnipro. Rabbi Reuven Milman performed the ceremony, correctly determining their placement, helping to fulfill all the necessary requirements of Jewish law, and affixing the mezuzahs to the doorframes with the appropriate blessings. During the “seudat mitzvah,” he explained in detail how the mezuzah affects everyone in the house and how it strengthens the “sholom bayt.”
It is noteworthy that these two mezuzas appeared in the house in different ways. One of them was provided as part of a charity event from the Mezuz.us program, which was held in Dnipro thanks to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Lessoff and his wife Daniela. The second mezuza was purchased by the owner of the house himself at the Judaica store, after which he turned to the Jewish Community of Dnipro for help in installing it correctly.
Thus, the community’s activities are not limited to providing mezuzas to those in need. An equally important part of its work is helping every Jew who wishes to fulfill this mitzva in their home in strict accordance with the requirements of Jewish tradition, regardless of whether they received a mezuza through a charity program or purchased one themselves.
“We are very happy to see that in Dnipro there are more and more Jewish homes with mezuzas on their doors, and more and more people are striving to fulfill this most important commandment correctly, in full accordance with the requirements of Jewish law,” noted Rabbi Reuven Milman. “It is very important for us to help every Jew with this, to provide a mezuza to anyone who needs it, or to help correctly install a mezuza they have purchased themselves, for each new mezuza signifies another Jewish home filled with the light of the Torah and the commandments, which, as the Lubavitcher Rebbe has repeatedly emphasized, contributes to the approach of Geula, and this is the main mission of the united and cohesive Jewish community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
