In Dnipro, another session of the “Beit Yoel” project took place — a branch of Beit Chabad for Israeli students living and studying in the city. The gathering focused on two meaningful dates in the Jewish calendar.
Israeli students studying at local universities participated in a farbrengen dedicated to the 191st birthday of the fourth Rebbe of the Chabad movement, Rabbi Shmuel — widely known as the Rebbe Maharash. In his honor, the participants recited Tehillim and sang Chassidic niggunim associated with him.
The meeting also marked the 77th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the modern State of Israel. This moment was deeply moving and inspiring. The group enthusiastically discussed the strong and unbreakable connection between the Jewish people, the Land of Israel (Eretz Yisrael), and the State of Israel (Medinat Yisrael), and the importance of this bond for the future of Jews around the world.
The event was held with the support of the Jewish Community of Dnipro.
