In one of the final days of the year 5785, just before the onset of Rosh Ha-Shanah, the students of the “Beit LeBanim” boarding school for boys of the Dnipro Jewish Community made a trip to Hadiach to the ohel of the great tzadik, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, also known as the Alter Rebbe.
The boys, accompanied by their mentor and the boarding school’s director, Rabbi David Vasykovsky, prayed at the ohel, observing all the customary traditions. They asked the righteous sage to help secure a good inscription in the Book of Life and Well-Being for every member of the Dnipro Jewish Community, for the entire city, and for all of Ukraine. Afterwards, the boys participated in a small farbrengen at the “Admor Hazaken” center.
“It was a very moving and spiritually uplifting trip that deeply touched everyone’s soul,” shared Rabbi David Vasykovsky. “We are very glad we managed to visit Hadiach before Rosh Ha-Shanah and we wholeheartedly thank the Dnipro Jewish Community, Imanuel Sidorenko, and Dalia Goldenсон for this opportunity.”
