Brit Milah in the Kaminezki family Mazl Tov!

Our website is delighted to announce that a great and joyful event has taken place in the Kaminezki family – the ceremony of entering the Covenant of Avraham for the newborn son of Rabbi Reuven Kaminezki and his wife Esther Adassah was held in the city of Lyon, France.

The honorary and responsible role of the sandek – the person who holds the infant during the performance of the mitzvah – was carried out by the baby’s grandfather, the Chief Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Reb Shmuel Kaminezki. The Brit Milah was performed by mohel Yossi Atal.

A special place in the ceremony was occupied by the reading of a letter of blessing from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, read by the child’s maternal uncle, Rabbi Mendel Gurevich. The role of the sandek me’umad – the one who holds the infant during the naming – was performed by the baby’s maternal grandfather, Rabbi Sholom Gurevich. The child’s name was announced by the Rabbi of Lyon, an uncle of the family, Rabbi Shmuel Gurevich, who proclaimed – Tzvi Hirsh.

All those present responded with deep emotion and joy to the blessings, wishing the infant that just as he has entered the Covenant of Avraham, so may he come to Torah, Chuppah, and good deeds. Immediately following the ceremony, the commanded festive meal – the Seudat Mitzvah – took place, participation in which is a special merit.

The Dnipro Jewish Community and our website wholeheartedly congratulate the Kaminezki and Gurevich families on this momentous occasion and wish the young Tzvi Hirsh Kaminezki to grow up healthy and happy, to bring much joy to his parents and the entire family, to become a true chassid and a great Torah scholar, and, as is fitting, to come to Torah, Chuppah, and good deeds!
