The 18th of Elul is widely celebrated in the Jewish community of Dnipro, with numerous events organized in its honor, involving Jewish community activists, congregants, and participants from various programs. One of the most important events is the prayer at the ohel of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi in the city of Hadiach, Poltava region, which attracts many activists from the Jewish community of Dnipro.
This year, as the world marks 280 years since the birth of the great tzaddik and founder of Chabad Hasidism, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, men and women traveled to Hadiach to commemorate 18 Elul there, pray at the ohel, participate in farbrengens, and experience the great spiritual world that connects us to the great tzaddik.
At the ohel in Hadiach, both the men’s and women’s delegations from the Jewish community of Dnipro wrote pidyon nefesh (redemption notes), prayed with great spiritual elevation, and then held a very inspiring farbrengen at the pilgrimage center “Admor HaZaken.”
