Dnipro took a part in the JFuture seminar in Uzhhorod.

A JFuture seminar, one of JRNU’s most well-known projects for children and young adolescents up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah age, was held in Uzhhorod. It brought together representatives of various project branches in many communities across Ukraine and provided a space for professional development, sharing experiences, jointly exploring new ideas, and planning future work. The seminar focused on the development of each branch, as well as the formation of an overall strategy for the entire JFuture project in Ukraine, improving approaches to work, and strengthening collaboration among its participants.

A delegation from the Jewish Community of Dnipro, represented by Adina Seldina, the head of the DJCY–STL Kids–JFuture project and a well-known Jewish community activist, actively participated in the seminar. For the non-formal education team in Dnipro, participation in this meeting was an opportunity to present their own experience, learn about the work of colleagues from other branches, and discuss prospects for the project’s further development.

The seminar’s program was comprehensive and focused on a clear practical focus. Participants participated in various training sessions and lectures with a psychologist, HR manager, targeting specialist, and project methodologists. The focus was on effective work with people and teams, professional development, project promotion, improving methodological approaches, and using new tools in daily work.

An important part of the seminar was the exchange of experiences between JFuture branches. Participants were able not only to learn about successful practices of their colleagues but also to share their own developments, discuss emerging challenges, and find solutions that could be useful for future work. Particular attention was paid to planning—both at the level of each individual branch and within the framework of the overall JFuture project development strategy.

The organizers also provided opportunities for informal networking, which helped participants get to know each other better, strengthen professional ties, exchange ideas, and gain new impetus for future work. This combination of educational program, strategic planning, and face-to-face interaction made the seminar an important stage in the development of the JFuture project teams.

“The JFuture project certainly has very promising future prospects, and it’s especially important to us that it’s actively developing in Dnipro, bringing together participants and providing the opportunity to host wonderful, meaningful, and engaging events,” noted Adina Seldina, head of the DJCY–STL Kids–JFuture project. “We are very grateful to Jewish Relief Network Ukraine, as their support is especially important to us as an important and integrated part of the informal Jewish education system in the united and cohesive Jewish community of Dnipro, led by Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
