Farbrengen at the ‘Alter Shul’ synagogue.

In honor of the 123rd anniversary of the birth of the Leader of our generation, the Seventh Lubavitch Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson, a men’s farbrengen took place in one of the synagogues of the united Jewish community of Dnipro, specifically in the historic synagogue ‘Alter Shul,’ where the rehabilitation center ‘Good Future’ is currently located.

The farbrengen took place in the main hall, where festive tables were set. Participants watched a video with a touching story about how the connection with the Rebbe supported people during difficult moments in their lives. After watching, attendees shared their personal stories about how the spiritual connection with the Rebbe helps them in the process of socialization and adaptation in the modern world. The synagogue’s rabbi, Adam Smilyansky, emphasized the importance of unity among all Jews of Dnipro in a single community and spoke about how, thanks to the Rebbe, the Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki became his personal emissary in our city, uniting all Jews and creating a modern community.

At the end of the farbrengen, each participant wrote a Pan, which is a letter that Jews write to the Lubavitch Rebbe on the occasion of an important date, and these letters were placed in the ‘Igrot Kodesh,’ further demonstrating the unbreakable connection of each person with the Rebbe and the community.

The event was organized with the support of the Jewish community of Dnipro.
