Final Third Session of the “Gan Levi Yitzchak” Retreat: Joy and Inspiration

The final session of the “Gan Levi Yitzchak” summer retreat is currently underway. This special retreat is organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro at the luxurious and comfortable Kohavi Forest Club, located in a picturesque and ecologically clean area on the banks of the Samara River. It is designed for the families of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s emissaries working in Dnipro, as well as for religious families.

The official opening of the third and final session was marked by a special activity — the creation of unique family crests. These crests symbolize the strength, unity, and significance of each family and now proudly adorn the doors of their rooms, emphasizing the importance of family values in Jewish tradition.

As always, the retreat’s children’s program is vibrant and rich with Jewish content, guided by the principles of the global children’s organization “Tzivot Hashem,” founded by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 1980. There have been a few changes in the team of program leaders: Sheina and Esti Segal, along with Fani Gaysinskaya, continue in their roles, and for this session, they are joined by Malka Brez.

Ahead of Shabbat, a number of special events took place at the retreat, including a creative workshop on braiding colorful challahs. On Friday evening, participants experienced a heartfelt and festive Kabbalat Shabbat ceremony, followed by an important Shabbat meal marking the beginning of the day of rest. Shabbat itself, as always, was filled with spiritual elevation and joy, culminating in a beautiful Havdalah ceremony.

“Just like the first two sessions, the final one is being held at a very high level, bringing people joy and inspiration,” said retreat director Lea Brez. “This is all possible thanks to the coordinated work of the entire retreat team and the ongoing support and care of the Jewish Community of Dnipro and its Chief Rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki.”

A charitable project of psychological and social rehabilitation implemented in cooperation with JMC.
